Women's training

Can I train with a group of friends?

Yes. Two or three women who already know each other train together regularly, and it makes the first session far easier.

Yes, and a lot of women start this way, including plenty who have never trained at all. If that is you, where to start from zero is the other half of this answer.

The obvious win is that you are not the only one feeling stupid. Everybody is new, everybody is getting it wrong, and the nervous laughing is out of the way inside ten minutes.

The real win is the partner. Grip breaks, getting out from underneath, escaping a bear hug: those need a live body that resists a bit. Doing them on a friend you trust is a completely different experience from being paired with a stranger, and you work harder because you are not managing your own nerves all hour.

It is still coaching, not a party. I teach one thing to the group, then go person to person fixing it. Nobody stands around watching and nobody slower gets left behind, because there is nowhere to be left behind to.

Somewhere quiet is all you need. A garage, a backyard, a living room with the furniture pushed back. I bring the mats. Three people drilling need more floor than one, though less than you picture: how much space you need. In an apartment or a townhouse, noise is the other question and it is usually a smaller problem than expected, since grappling is quiet and pads are not. See whether this bothers your neighbors.

Rotating whose house it is works well, and it keeps one person from carrying all of it.

For bigger numbers than two or three, ask me. See training with a friend and how to book.
