Training at your place

Can Rex train me at my office or my gym?

Yes, if the space allows it. Offices and building fitness rooms work well. Commercial gyms usually need permission from the owner first.

Yes, as long as there is room and you are allowed to use it. The second half is the part that ever goes wrong.

Your office. Better than people expect, and lunch-hour sessions are common in Ventura and the Conejo Valley. An empty conference room with the table pushed back, a warehouse corner, a break room, a patio. Mats go down over whatever the floor is. Clear it with whoever runs the building first.

Your building’s fitness room or HOA clubhouse. Usually the easiest of all. There is flooring, there is space, and it is already yours. Ask the office whether they need to know a coach is coming and whether they ask anything of outside trainers.

A commercial gym you belong to. Depends entirely on the gym. Most big chains do not allow outside trainers on the floor and some will stop a session mid-round. If yours has a private studio room you can book, that often works. Ask the front desk before you book with me, not after. A martial arts school is the same deal with more etiquette involved: ask the owner.

Wherever it is, what I need is simple. A flat patch about the size of a parking space, enough ceiling to put your arms overhead, and permission. See how much space you need.

For a lunch session, think about the practical end too. Something to change into, a towel, and enough time not to arrive back at your desk soaked. See what to wear and bring.

You bring none of the equipment. Mats, mitts, Thai pads and gloves come out of the truck, which is the whole reason an office works at all. See what gear I bring. Colleagues will wander past and watch, and nobody minds: see who else can be around.

I travel across the ten cities of Ventura County. Tell me the address and the setup when you message me.
