Are there belts in no-gi jiu-jitsu?
Yes, the same white to black belt ladder as the gi. You just are not wearing one. Rank is earned slowly and nobody here is selling it.
Yes. White, blue, purple, brown, black, stripes along the way, gi or not. You just have nothing to tie it around, so people find out who you are ten seconds into a roll.
I hold three black belts and none of them came fast. Where rank comes quick, rank stops meaning anything.
What moves you up is how often you show up and how much live training you do, so how long before you actually get better and what rolling is matter more than the colour. Rank carries over if you put a gi on: gi or no-gi.
