Why is it called Rock N Roll Fight Company?
Because Rex fronts a Ventura rock band, The Pretty Uglys. The name is not a marketing idea, it is the other half of the same man.
Because I front The Pretty Uglys, a rock band out of Ventura. Our debut came out in 2017. So when I opened a gym in 2008 I did not workshop a name, I put both things on one sign.
It says how the place runs, which is why it stuck. Loud, unpolished, not corporate. No franchise posters, no talking about honor in a voice nobody uses in real life. The old tagline was Full Contact Yoga, so the humour is in there too.
